THE YELLOW MELODIES extraen un sencillo más de su aclamado álbum ‘New Identities’ (Discos Imprescindibles, 2010), así, tras haber publicado ya 4 EPs: ‘The championship cup’, ‘New identities ep’, ‘Found your smile ep’ y ‘You make me fall in love’, en diferentes sellos discográficos, ahora sale a la luz el single de la única versión incluída en el disco, el “It’s only love” de THE BEATLES, en formato digital, y que se puede conseguir gratuitamente desde su Bandcamp y LastFm.

El single incluye la versión corta que ha sido utilizada para la grabación del vídeoclip dirigido por Faustino Fdez. Y como cara b, nos regalan un tema exclusivo e inédito, la versión en inglés de “Vamos a ganar el Mundial”, el tema con el que THE YELLOW MELODIES animaron a la Selección Española de Fútbol a ganar su primer Mundial en Sudáfrica 2010, y que fue incluído en su versión original en castellano en el recopilatorio ‘Fast Forward: The World Cup Goes Indie’ que el sello irlandés Indiecater Records publicó con motivo del evento futbolístico, con 32 grupos de todo el planeta haciendo cada uno la canción de uno de los equipos que participaban en la competición. Una canción pop sencilla de estribillo pegadizo!

THE YELLOW MELODIES release a new single from their remarkable new album ‘New Identities’ (Discos Imprescindibles, 2010), so, after 4 EPs: ‘The championship cup’, ‘New identities ep’, ‘Found your smile ep’ and ‘You make me fall in love’, on different labels, now they come back with the only cover included in their record, “It’s only love” by THE BEATLES, released only on digital format, that you can get for free from their Bandcamp or LastFm sites.

The single includes the short version of the song that has been used for the clip directed by Faustino Fdez. On the b-side we can listen to the exclusive and previously unreleased english version of the theme they used for cheering up Spain to win the South Africa World Cup in 2010. They included the original Spanish song (“Vamos a ganar el Mundial”) in the compilation album titled ‘Fast Forward: The World Cup Goes Indie’ that the Irish label Indiecater Records dedicated to the South Africa World Cup, in which 32 bands wrote about 32 countries participating in the competition. The song was written and released some time before Spain won the World Cup. Now you can listen to the rare english version of that song, called simply “The World Cup”, a beautiful song with a catchy chorus that you can’t stop singing!
